Thackley Storm progress in the West Riding Cup

Cup fever continued in Thackley, as junior side Thackley Storm battled to win a cup tie against Menston.

Thackley Storm returned after a short break to play against Menston away in the West Riding Cup. Storm had previously beaten Menston in the league so were once again favourites going into this tie. Storm raced into a 3 goal lead but Menston mounted a strong comeback, meaning the score at full time was 4-4. This meant the tie was taken to a nerve racking penalty shoot-out and luckily Storm held their nerve, winning 4-3 on penalties.

Thackley Juniors under 16 side Thackley Storm, who are sponsored by Don Whitley Scientific, play away against Nab Wood next weekend.
