US company Microbiology International has today been named Distributor of the Year by Don Whitley Scientific Ltd … for the 9^th year running. The award is presented to the international distributor who achieves the highest volume of sales of DWS products each year.

Microbiology International was established in Maryland in 1997 with the objective of, according to director Kevin Kink “automating the world of microbiology one laboratory at a time by offering the finest microbiology products sourced internationally from scientific instrument manufacturers.” The company has worked closely with DWS ever since, selling mainly the WASP (Whitley Automated Spiral Plater) and the range of anaerobic workstations, and has become one of their consistently successful strategic business partners.

Presenting the award today, Chairman Don Whitley commented: “I am delighted to present this award so regularly to a company with whom we have worked for so many years. Microbiology International has similar visions to our own and, despite the different markets in which we operate, we continue to work closely with our colleagues in North America.”
