Whitley A85 Anaerobic Workstation

The Whitley A85 Workstation has been created to enable research and clinical scientists to conduct sample manipulation and incubation within a secure anaerobic environment. The main features of this workstation are:

• Built-in, 30 litre airlock
• Innovative colour, touch-screen interface with pincode protected user access levels
• Temperature control from 5ºC above ambient up to 45ºC
• Automatic commissioning cycle
• Dual gas operation
• Remote controlled, motorised gloveports
• Automatic de-humidification system with no user maintenance required.

Both the working and storage areas of the chamber are temperature controlled with a uniform temperature gradient throughout. This allows the full internal chamber volume to be used for incubation if desired (maximum 540 Petri dishes).

The patented oval portholes are operated by a wireless footswitch and enable you to work gloved or bare-handed. The ports also act as mini-airlocks for up to 20 plates each so if you have just a few samples to transfer you can save time and gas by taking advantage of this feature.

An optional refrigeration unit is available on this model.

Options and Accessories

A range of options and accessories are available to tailor your workstation to the needs of your laboratory. For example, if you need to be able to use electrical equipment inside the chamber, you could specify a double internal socket or if you want to be able to quickly introduce small quantities of samples, you may specify a single plate entry system.
